Yesterday division 5 spent a very exciting afternoon in our cave (really just our decorated classroom) amongst bats, stalagmites, stalactites and creepy crawlies. Students crawled into their caves (under their desks) and by the glowing light of a torch (the overhead projector with yellow tissue paper) created impressive cave drawings using charcoal and ochre. Students were surprised at how difficult it was to create quality drawings and realized the true talent of the early humans we have been studying. Be sure to check out some of the pictures from our cave.
